Soul Survivor

PP Arnold's long-awaited autobiography is due for release June 2022. This promises to be a very interesting read. Her story is fascinating and not just for her work with the Small Faces. Nicest person you are likely to meet too.

The Essential Small Faces

This 3CD set is an excellent introduction to the Small Faces as it covers most of the band's output and at a bargain price. It is an official release too.

The Small Faces Live 1966

In what is a certain contender for the greatest live LP of the 1960s Live 1966 features the Small Faces playing a small Belgian club in January 1966. Remastered with improved sound quality, the set includes the debut single, tracks recorded for the debut album and several tracks never recorded in the studio. This is a must for all Small Faces fans as it shows the Fab Four at, arguably, their live best.

Small Fakers Live in Session

Top Small Faces tribute band the Small Fakers have released as CD of classic tracks, most of the singles and some b-sides and album tracks. This is superb and you could almost believe you are listening to the real thing. Available via the Small Fakers Web site. Catch them around the country in 2019 too for a fantastic evening.

Record Store Day 13 April 2019

UMC is releasing a 2LP purple vinyl set of Ronnie Lane & Slim Chance live at the BBC. This includes John Peel sessions from 1973, 1974 and 1976 as well as a BBC Live in Concert from Golders Green.
