Marc Bolan - guitar / vocals, Steve Peregrin-Took - bass
Marc Bolan had come from a brief solo career and some time as guitarist in John's Children. Bolan formed a four-piece band playing one gig in July 1967. This included Steve Porter on drums. Porter later switched to percussion and changed his name to Steve Peregrin-Took. The band then continued as a duo performing Bolan's hippy-influenced sings with strong folk elements and elements of Indian music inspired by Ravi Shanker.
