Marquee, 90 Wardour Street
The
Marquee is one of rock's most famous landmarks. The Small Faces made
their debut here on Tuesday 22 March 1966. They had cancele The Marquee was originally on Oxford Street and had made its name as a jazz club before the R n' B groups started to make inroads. In 1964, it moved to a new home on Wardour Street which is where the Small Faces played. Today, The Marquee Club is on Charing Cross Road. |
